委内瑞拉驻穗总领事馆于6月30日周日在广州举办推介活动，介绍将由委内瑞拉航空公司Conviasa在今年10月开通的首条连接中国广州和委内瑞拉加拉加斯两座城市的直航航线。
The Consulate General of Venezuela in Guangzhou held an event on June 30th to promote the first direct flights connecting Guangzhou, China and Caracas, Venezuela, which will be carried out by the national flag carrier of Conviasa Airlines, in October this year.
委内瑞拉驻华大使朱塞佩·约夫雷达出席活动并说，该航线旨在促进旅游业和加强两国人民之间的联系。他还说，在委内瑞拉生活居住的华人人口中有绝大部分来自广东，这次把直航航线的中国城市选在广州有助于他们往返于两个地方，回家也更加方便。
Venezuelan Ambassador to China Giuseppe Yoffreda Yorio said at the event the move aims to promote tourism and strengthen connections between the two nations. He also said that the vast majority of the Chinese population living in Venezuela comes from Guangdong, having Guangzhou as the Chinese city for these direct flights will help them travel more easily between the two places and make it more convenient for them to visit their hometown.

6月30日周日也是Conviasa航空公司的A340-600的飞机首次降落在广州国际白云机场的日子。该直航航班从委内瑞拉拉加拉斯起飞，经停俄罗斯莫斯科，于正午在广州白云国际机场降落。该航线在10月启动之后将每周飞行一次，返航航班将经停莫斯科以及委内瑞拉的旅游城市波尔拉马尔。另外一个加拉加斯-广州直航航班将经停古巴的哈瓦那、俄罗斯莫斯科，也将每周飞行一次。
June 30th was also the day when Conviasa Airlines' A340-600 aircraft made its first landing at Guangzhou International Baiyun Airport. The direct flight took off from Caracas Venezuela, stopped in Moscow, and landed at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at noon. After the direct flights’ launch in October, the route will operate once a week, with returning flights stopping over in Moscow and the tourist city of Porlamar in Venezuela. A second direct flight route will operate from Caracas to Guangzhou with stopovers in Havana, Cuba and Moscow, Russia.

今年正逢中国与委内瑞拉建交50周年，6月28日委内瑞拉和中国政府举行了一系列庆祝活动，并在当天举行两国签署协议后的首条直飞航线的开通仪式。相信，该直航航线的开通将给两国经贸、旅游、文化以及教育等多个领域带来更多合作机会与交流。
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Venezuela. On June 28th, the Venezuelan and Chinese governments held a series of celebration activities. It is certain that the opening of this direct flight will bring more opportunities for cooperation and exchanges in multiple fields including economy, trade, tourism, culture, and education between the two nations.
